Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Subrat Sahoo on Saturday flagged off a voter awareness vehicle at Government Agriculture Engineering College, Chatarkhar in Mungeli.
The vehicle will be deployed in the polling booth areas where low voter turnout was registered during the last assembly elections. The vehicle loaded with poster, banner, pamphlets and sound system will be used to increase the awareness among voters.
The vehicle will be instrumental in educating voters about EVM and VVPAT machines, officials said.
Additional Electoral Officer Dr S Bhartidasan, district Electoral Officer Dr Sarvehwar Narendra Bhure and others were present at the flag off programme.
