The UT Administration on Friday launched the Mission - Anemia free Chandigarh. For this, a 6x6x6 strategy i.e. 6 beneficiaries, 6 interventions and 6 institutional services will be implemented in the city.
Punjab Governor and UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore launched the mission at the State level function of POSHAN Mahotsav organized at Tagore Theatre here.
On the occasion, the Administrator announced that special drive of T3 campaign will be done i.e. test, treat and talk by using digital haemoglobinometers under this mission.
The Administrator launched an exclusive website for uploading the success stories under POSHAN Abhiyaan by all the Departments of UT Chandigarh to inspire the general public on the themes of POSHAN.
Apart from this, a toll free POSHAN helpline number1800-1800-2244 was launched for pregnant or lactating women, children and adolescent girls in Chandigarh. This helpline will ensure timely home visits by Anganwadi workers and ANMs for extending Anganwadi services at the door steps of the beneficiaries. The resident in the city can also book home visits and call for any queries on POSHAN helpline.
