BJP national vice president and former chief minister Raman Singh on Saturday in a scathing attack on the Congress government said the state’s financial condition is in the doldrums.
The government has failed in fiscal management and is blaming others for its failures. Instead, government should concentrate on the developmental works.
He was talking to media before leaving for New Delhi along with all the newly elected BJP Members of Parliament from the state.
The people have totally rejected the five-months rule of the state government, he added.
On allegations of the Congress that the BJP won Lok Sabha elections on ‘Modi’ factor, Singh said then why the Congress candidates lost.
The election was fought in the name of Prime Minister and people had given full support to it. All the BJP MPs are able leaders and they will keep their views before the Prime Minister, he added.
On Rahul Gandhi, he said, “He has lost everything the resignation (the Congress president had offered in the CWC meeting) is just an excuse.” A meeting of the newly elected candidates of the BJP and its allies meeting is scheduled in the evening where the party will elect Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again as its leader, he added. BJP has won nine seats from Chhattisgarh in 2019 Lok Sabha polls while Congress won two. In 2014, BJP had won 10 seats and Congress one.
