The dharna by thousands of investors of chit fund firm Golden Land Developers Limited in front of the office of the company near Aska Road here entered its 13th day on Sunday. The investors allege nonpayment of their money even after an order of the Orissa High Court.
The protestors point out that the High Court directed the concerned companies to return money to the duped investors, but neither the State Government nor the firms have taken any step in this regard.
"Even after 18 long months, the Government has not taken any measure to disburse the money among the investors. We will continue our protest till we get back our money," said an investor.
The protestors have threatened that they would continue their stir and boycott the upcoming elections if their money is not paid soon.
Notably, in 2013, the companies had collected funds from the depositors with a promise to repay at higher interest rate within a short span of time.
Among others, Balakrishna Pradhan, S Sadananda Dora, Bikram Beherua and Pitabas Tripathy are leading the dharna.
