City boys in search of job go missing in Chhattisgarh

Friday, 15 March 2019 | PNS | Jamshedpur

Two youths from the city who had gone to Bilaspur in Chhatisgarh in search of jobs have gone missing since Monday. Shakti Kumar (26), a resident of Gaur Bustee in Mango and another Sunny Prasad, a resident of Ramnagar in Kadma (27) are yet to be traced. Shakti's father Satish Kumar Singh has lodged a missing person report with the Mango police station today.

On the otherhand, Sunny's wife has gone to Bilaspur along with her two-year-old baby in search of him. OC, Mango police station, Arun Kumar Mahatha confirmed about a missing person report.

"We have received a complaint about a 26-year-old youth, Shakti Kumar, from Mango going missing in Bilaspur. We are investigating the mystery. We have circulated details about Shakti through the wireless across Kolhan and also posted his photograph on social media today.  We are in touch with the Chhatisgarh police about this," said Mahatha.

The OC informed that Shakti had gone to Bilaspur by boarding a train on March 9 night along with his friend, Sunny. They two had gone to search jobs in Bilaspur, but they have received a missing person complaint about Shakti only.

Shakti's father Satish Kumar Singh said his son was regularly talking over his cellphone after he had reached Bilaspur on Sunday, but from Monday afternoon his cellphone is switched off.

“We are really very worried. Not only Shakti, but his close friend Sunny who has gone along had also talked to me on Monday noon. Cellphones of both Shakti and Sunny were found switched off," said Singh who is a private security guard.

Singh said that Sunny's wife had gone to Kadma police station for lodging a missing person report about her husband on Wednesday evening. "The police officials at Kadma asked her to go to Bilaspur instead of lodging such report, she has left for Bilaspur last night," Singh said.
