Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on the eve of his birthday has announced additional hike in dearness allowance for state government employees and pensioners. The hike in DA will be effective from January 1, 2019.
As per the order issued, employees and pensioners will get 3 percent of DA for 7th Pay Commission from January 1, 2019 while it would be 6 percent DA for the 6th Pay Commission.
At present the employees of 7th Pay Commission were getting 9 percent and 6th Pay Commission were receiving 148 percent dearness allowance. Around 3.72 lakh employees and around 1.13 lakh pensioners will be benefitted by the latest hike.
