Chief Minister Raghubar Das today called upon the people in Kolhan region to free the Kolhan area from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Addressing a public meeting after attending nomination of State BJP president Laxman Gilua in Chakradharpur on Saturday Das said JMM’s Hemant Soren snatched land of tribals and became a landlord.
“You entrusted the JMM with the responsibility of developing your area for years. But, you must be feeling what results it gave. The JMM, which calls itself wellwisher of tribals and poor people, did nothing. It did not even preserve the tribal culture. However, JMM’s Hemant Soren sold the sand from rivers of the State and became a landlord by snatching the land of tribals violating the CNT/SPT Act,” said Das.
“The people of Kolhan should assess who is their friend and who is not. Pledge to free Kolhan from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and pave way for development of the region, because you have to tell that the party, which will develop, will get your vote. Do not block your path of development for momentary benefit. Do vote for the prosperity of Jharkhand,” he added.
Das said that policies are formed due to a strong and stable Government, decision-making capacity is increased and officers are not unbridled. But, neither a policy can be formed with a coalition government, a decision is taken nor officers are in control and the poor tribals suffer. “In the last 5 years, many things have been done due to stable government. Due to the double engine government, 57 lakh families got the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Yojana, 30 lakh households deprived of electricity were brightened, 40 lakh families got gas stove, the process of providing housing to every poor started.
The work of providing drinking water started, they were provided financial assistance for the prosperity of the farmers, empowerment of women. I do not say that there is complete development in Jharkhand.
We still have many things to do in the field of health and education. It has been accelerated in 5 years. With the help of the government of double engine, its speed has to increase even more in the coming years,” said Das.
The CM presented the facts of development works done during five years in the Chkradharpur Assembly Constituency enlisting schemes that benefitted people in the area and said that several ongoing works will also be completed at the earliest.
