CM dismisses 16 more corrupt officials

Continuing stringent action against corrupt officials, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday dismissed 16 Government officials from their jobs for their involvement in various corruption activities, informed a CMO release.

The dismissed officials are Bhubaneswar R and B Division-I Deputy Executive Engineer Jibesh Chandra Rath, Daspalla Rural Works Assistant Engineer Tirupati Venkateswar Pani, Kamakhyanagar block Junior Engineer Basanta Kumar Patra, Jajpur Minor Irrigation Division Junior Engineer Prakash Chandra Singh, former I/C Headmaster of Jagatsinghpur district’s Balarampur Abhaya Kumar Biswal, Mathili block’s former Sarangpali Primary School I/C Headmaster Kapil Chandra

Nayak, Nabarangpur district’s Papadahandi PUP School Headmaster Prasanna Kumar Patra and former Tome School I/C Headmaster Sridhar Harijan, Kotagada block’s SEC Adari New Primary School I/C Kanhu Charan Digal, Kodala tehsil Revenue Inspector Mangulu Nayak, Shalapada Special Land Acquisition Office RI Narahari Ojha, Basudebpur PD (R and R) Amin Sarat Chandra Sethi, Boudh Puruna Cuttack CHC’s former pharmacist Santosh Kumar Panda, Icchapur High School Junior Clerk Nakula Kumar Khamari, Boudh Harabhanga BEO Clerk Birendra Kumar Panda and Koraput Nandapur PEO Prashanta Chandra Nayak.

All of them were held guilty of corruption by Vigilance courts. With this, the number of dismissed Government employees during a month rose to 37. Besides, pensions of seven retired Government employees have stopped for corruptions committed by them.
