Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held an important meeting with the ministers of state here on Friday and asked them to concentrate on their constituencies and tell people about the achievements of the Uttar Pradesh and Central governments.
The meeting, which lasted for about 45 minutes at the Chief Minister’s office, also discussed in detail the state government’s ongoing schemes and progress of their implementation.
This is the second such meeting with the junior ministers in the last month-and-a-half.
Later, talking to media, Minister of State for Information, Neelkanth Tiwari, said the meeting was very fruitful and the Chief Minister discussed political situation emerging after Samajwadi Party-Bahujan Samaj Party alliance.
“It was a normal meeting and the Chief Minister holds such meetings regularly to interact with the deputy ministers to assess the political situation in the state and to monitor the development schemes,” Tripathi said.
He said the Chief Minister discussed the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to be held in Varanasi that would be a big event and set a milestone for the country.
Tripathi is an MLA from Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
When asked about the stray cow menace in the state, the minister blamed the opposition for hatching a conspiracy against the government to defame it.
“We have given enough funds to the districts to set up gaushalas (cow shelters) for stray cattle in every village,” he claimed.
