Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday inaugurated country’s first hospital dedicated for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana beneficiaries named Tata Main Hospital (TMH) Golmuri in the Tinplate township. “It is a day of achievement with the city getting country’s first hospital dedicated for beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. “We have also decided to launch a special drive to make such golden cards for beneficiaries completely free from August 16 to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and this drive will continue till September 23, 2019 across the state. So far 219 government hospitals and 429 private hospitals have been empanelled in the state under the scheme. In the state more than 2 lakh patients have benefitted from the scheme,” informed Das.

The Chief Minister also assured that talks are on with Tata Motors to empanel Tata Motors Hospital under this scheme.

“We had several meetings with Tata Steel management and I am thankful that they have decided to dedicate a hospital entirely for the scheme. Talks are on with Tata Motors and soon Tata Motors Hospital in Telco township will also be empanelled under the scheme,” said Das.

A special drive will be undertaken between August 16 and September 23 where doctors will be available for two hours each in morning and evening in all civic bodies. In Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (Jamshedpur), Mango Notified Area Committee (Mango) and Jugsalai municipality existing community halls will be used as mohalla clinics,” said Das.
