Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the Uttishth-2019 programme organised by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur to encourage entrepreneurship.
Addressing the gathering, Rawat said that IIM Kashipur has a special position. Those studying here are doing good work in entrepreneurship and the agriculture sector. In any state, institutes have a major role in the developmental process. The Chief Minister also presented certificates to 37 IIM students for commendable work in various sectors.
Rawat said that for efficient management, skill development and communication are also necessary to ensure that solutions to problems can be found.
He exhorted the gathering to work towards facilitating the desired level of development in the agriculture and industrial sectors in order to achieve all-round development of the state. Along with a sense of dedication one must also have strong commitment towards one’s work in order to achieve the aim, he said. Rawat also inaugurated an exhibition of items and equipment developed by IIM on the occasion.
Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar MP Ajay Bhatt opined that those studying in IIM are the future of the nation. He also said that he would talk to the Government of India regarding the expansion of IIM Kashipur.
MLAs Rajesh Shukla, HS Cheema, mayor Usha Chaudhary, dean KM Baharul Islam, Kumaon commissioner Rajiv Rautela, DIG Jagat Ram Joshi and others were also among those present on the occasion.
