Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan launched by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to eradicate malnutrition from the state has begun to yield results on the ground.
Chief Minister himself acknowledged the excellent work that is being done in various parts of the state under the scheme.
He felicitated the workers and assistants of Batrel Aanganbadi Centre - 1and 4 of Durg district for achieving the target of malnutrition eradication.
In Batrel aanganbadi centres 1 and 4, three children have been cured of malnutrition. For this achievement, Chief Minister felicitated worker of Batrel aanganbadi-1 Kaushalya Sharma and assistant Domeshwari Sahu, and worker of Batrel aanganbadi-4 Shailbala Kaushik and assistant Deepika Sahu in a programe organised in Batrel.
These workers and assistants have done excellent work under Suposhan Abhiyan. They did not only take care of nutrition needs of under-nourished children but also personally educated their guardians on nourishment of children.
District programme officer Vipin Jain informed that children are being provided extra supplement under Mukhyamantri Suposhan Mission. Under-nourished children are being provided jaggery and peanut bars. Children of 0-3 age group have been identified and are being provided nutritious food.
Public participation is also being ensured in the process. He informed that officers are regularly monitoring works under Suposhan Abhiyan through WhatsApp. Health checkup camps are being organized under Mukhyamantri Bal Sandarbh Yojana.
