CM on poll mode at home constituency

Saturday, 07 September 2019 | Parvinder Bhatia | Jamshedpur

Chief Minister Raghubar Das has entered poll mode at his home constituency—Jamshedpur East— during his two and a half days stay in the city.

The five time MLA from Jamshedpur East, who is undertaking whirlwind visits as part of the Pravas Karyakram (residential programme ) at almost all major mandals (zones in political parlance) interacting with party workers said that in order to win 65 plus seats in the Assembly elections the workers should reach every household and lanes in their zones.

Das, who had won the 2014 Assembly polls from Jamshedpur East, with a margin of 70,157 votes against nearest Congress rival Anand Bihari Dubey, motivated the workers to utilize the mass sentiment in favour of ruling party after abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and also help voters aware of misinformation campaign by opposition parties.

“We need to make people aware of the bold decisions taken by BJP government at center including abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and also about the welfare schemes for the poor instead of indulging in vote bank politics as was done for seven decades in the country. The Congress and JMM policies of cheating masses in the name of development and their interest in family politics should be exposed before the masses,” said Das addressing party workers.

Giving credit to the party workers for the historic results in the recent Lok Sabha polls where BJP won 12 out of the 14 seats, Das expressed confidence of party winning 65 plus seats in the Assembly polls. “The voters have given their verdict against Congress Party and other divisive policies of opposition parties. People have voted in favour of development schemes of the Prime Minister Modi and accepted them, and that the results proved it,” he said.

He sought updates from party workers about booths across the district and motivated them to give their best shot in the assembly pollsMenawhile, BJP district president Dinesh Kumar Sahu informed that Raghubar Das will be staying till Saturday and meeting karyakartas (party workers) in different zones.

He had held meeting of Baridih zone yesterday night and today he held meeting at Tinplate in Golmuri, Govind Nagar near Sakchi Gurudwara, Gobindpur (near Telco), Gudia Maidan (Birsanagar), Telco Gurudwara Bhawan. On Saturday, he would be holding meeting in Burmamines.
