The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed grief at the loss of lives after consumption of spurious liquor in Dehradun. Terming this instance as very serious, he said that the strictest of punishments will be givento those found guilty in this case.
Rawat has also ordered that a magisterial inquiry be conducted into this incident swiftly.
The chief secretary, director general of police and excise commissioner have also been directed by the Chief Minister to ensure swift action against those found guilty in this case.
Rawat has also directed the director general of health services and the Dehradun chief medical officer to facilitate proper treatment for those victims admitted in hospitals in the provisional State Capital.
