Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Monday reached Ujjain and performed puja-archana of the fifth Savari of Lord Mahakal and shouldered the savari to move forward. He prayed to Lord Mahakal for the welfare of the state.
Nath reached Ujjain this afternoon and attended the fifth savari of Lord Mahakalat the scheduled time and offered prayers according to the rituals. After that he shouldered the savari of Lord Mahaakal following which the savari moved on for the city.
Minister in charge of Ujjain district Sajjan Singh Verma, Public Relations Minister PC Sharma, Sports, Youth Welfare and Higher Education Minister Jitu Patwari also took part in the puja which was performed by Priest Ghanshyam Sharma.
Among those present on the occasion were MLA Ramlal Malviya, Dilip Gurjar, Mahesh Parmar, Murli Morwal, former MLA Rajendra Bharti, former minister Babulal Malviya, District Panchayat President Karan Kumaria, senior officers of the division and district besides devotees in a large number.
Later, Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that all round development of Mahkaal’s city Ujjain was his very old desire. The State Government has prepared a scheme worth Rs 300 crore for the development of Lord Mahakaal’s entire campus and to provide other facilities for the convenience of the devotees.
Nath mentioned that a time bound plan will be prepared to implement this scheme and it’s on time implementation will be ensured. He further said that a special focus has also been laid on the growing numbers of devotees, coming for darshan of Mahakaal. On this basis only, the development and expansion of Mahakaal temple’s campus will be done. Nath stated that on completion of this scheme, the residents of Ujjain will also be benefitted. This will enhance economic activities here and provide employment to people.
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is identified with Ujjain, the city of Lord Mahakaal. This is a great and divine place. Keeping in view the numbers of devotees, astounding facilities will be made available for them to persuade them to stay here.
