CM promises 24x7 power by Oct 2019

Chief Minister Raghubar Das today reiterated the commitment of the government to provide 24-hour electricity in the State. While addressing a gathering at Madhupur festival on Wednesday the CM said that for supplying uninterrupted electricity by October 2019, the government is constructing 80 grids and 257 sub stations in the State. He said that there will also be separate feeders for farmers, who will get six hours of uninterrupted power.

The CM said that if all the basic amenities like electricity in the villages are reached, there will definitely be a change in the lives of the people of the village. “We have to create a movement for development. The priority of the government is the protection of the common masses. Today, militancy in Jharkhand is counting its last breath. I thank the soldiers of the entire Jharkhand Police because people are living their life with peace because of them. People strayed from the society must get connected with mainstream and lead better lives. The government is determined to bring development to the last person in the society,” he said.

Das said that if the country and State are to be established in a strong and developed form, then here women will have to be empowered and made self-reliant. Development can only be imagined by making women economically and socially empowered and self-reliant, he added.

The CM said that it is his dream to provide roof for every poor man. In order to fulfill the dream of the poor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked to give roof for every poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Das said that the PM has set the goal of giving home to every homeless by 2022. In order to fulfill the dreams of the PM, the State government has pledged to give house to every homeless by 2020 and the state government is continuously working in this direction.

The Chief Minister said that in the forthcoming budget, the provision of giving a maximum of Rs 5000 per acre to farmers has been made. Now, the farmers do not need to take loans to buy seeds or any other material for farming. He said that in order to fulfill the dream of ‘Beti Bachao Bet Padhao’, the state government will implement the Chief Minister Sukanya Yojna from January 24 in 5 divisions.

Earlier, addressing a gathering at the township inspection program for families displaced from the Deoghar Airport Authority in Baidyanath Dham Nayadih on Wednesday the CM said that the families displaced from the expansion of Deoghar Airport are being given Rs 50 lakh and free land. Townships are being constructed for them with basic and quality amenities.

The CM said that quality colony is being constructed for the displaced persons in Deoghar. School, hospital, community hall, shops will be there. There will also be training for skill development for employment generation. Displaced persons will get their rights. He said that many families were displaced during the construction of Vidhan Sabha building in Ranchi. But, according to their consent, arrangement for them at a cost of Rs 245 crores was made.

The CM said that developing Santhal Pargana is the priority of government. The work of providing basic facilities is being done continuously. “Deoghar will become an international city with AIIMS, International Airport and soon Sahebganj will be the Center of the waterway. It will start from March to Bangladesh, Mayanmar and Banaras,” he said.

The CM also inaugurated Baba Baidyanath Vatika which was established for the rehabilitation and livelihood of displaced person from Deoghar Airport. Where 11,000 rose, 5,000 Marigold and 2,000 gerbera flower plants have been planted.

On this occasion, MP Nishikant Dubey, Minister Raj Paliwar, MLA Narayana Das, DIG Raj Kumar Lakra, DC Rahul Kumar Sinha, SP Narendra Kumar and others were present.
