Citing dengue and chikungunya data of the Delhi Government which claimed the number of vector-borne diseases have decreased by 80 per cent in three years span from 2015 to 2018, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal admitted that three Municipal Corporations are working in a better way and now he should release the funds to corporations.
It is pertinent to mention here that in Monsoon season, corporations play pivotal role as employees visit door to door to ensure no mosquito breeding take place. "Cleaning of drains, prevention of waterlogging and the public awareness campaign besides the hard labour of the sanitation workers have helped in the prevention of dengue and chikungunya in Delhi. The number of patients suffering from Dengue has been decreasing year after year," Tiwari said.
Tiwari, Member of Parliament (MP) from North - East Delhi also targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for not releasing the required amount to pay salaries to MCD employees.
