CM Sukanya Yojana an instant hit in State

Friday, 15 February 2019 | PNS | DALTONGANJ

Mukhya Mantri Sukanya Yojana (MMSY) is an instant hit across the State. According to officials, MMSY has smoothly gone ahead of another farmer friendly scheme called Mukhya Mantri Krishi Ashirward Yojna (MMKAY), where district administration across the State are trying to identify the real and genuine farmers in respect of whom there is the Lagan receipt and their names figure in the most vital land register called Register 2.

Close on the heels of this, MMKAY has come Pradhan Mantri Kissan Samman Nidhi (PMKSN), which has further back seated MMKAY in Jharkhand as said circle officer of Satbarwa block in Palamu U K Soren.

“Since we have PMKSN now we are pooling in all our resources to meet the deadline fixed for it, which is February 28 to credit Rs 6,000 to small and marginal farmers’ accounts directly.”

Sources said in between these two peasants’ friendly schemes the passage of MM Sukanya Yojna has been a hitch free ride here if one takes into account the disbursement

figures among the girl children of families of socio economic caste census 2011 and of Antyodaya families in the State and it comes to more than Rs 10 crore .

In Santhal Pargana division, where come districts namely Sahebganj, Godda, Pakur, Deoghar, Jamtara and Dumka  the targeted beneficiaries are 27, 282 while more than 30,000 forms  were filed here in this division out of which 8,946 forms were sanctioned  and out of which 5,994 girl children were disbursed more than 3 crore.

Secretary social welfare department Amitabh Kaushal said here in this Santhal Pargana division it is 113 per cent of receive forms for this Sukanya Yojna, which clearly proves its consumption among the masses.

Sources said CM has thus played a master stroke here in this tribal heartland Santhal Pargana ahead of the LS election.

Similarly, in South Chhotanagpur division, which has districts Khunti, Gumla, Ranchi Lohardaga and Simdega the disbursement money among the 5,623 girl children here is more than 2.96 crores.

Here came 122 per cent forms of girl children as against the target of 19,884 which is 24,204 out of which 7,250 forms were sanctioned.

Sources said the great thing about this MMSY is that there has been no cry of any foul play done so far either in selection of the beneficiaries or in disbursement.  Secretary Kaushal attributes this to ‘team work effort for this and a very minute and meticulous observation and monitoring from the State.’

The Secretary said, “We were monitoring this Yojna at every level from the state to keep at bay any flaw to come in.”

Sources said in North Chhotanagpur Division which has Chatra, Hazaribag, Giridh, Koderma, Dhanbad, Bokaro and Ramgarh districts there is a very near match with the target fixed here and forms for it received here too.

The target fixed in this North Chhotanagpur Division was 33,537 and forms that were received here in this division for this Yojna numbered 33,676! Here too more than 2.43 crores were disbursed among 4,402 girl children out of the sanctioned 7,262.

Palamu division under which fall three districts Latehar, Palamu and Garhwa and face a total drought declaration in the whole of the Palamu district and the Garhwa district and just one block in Latehar district MM Sukanya Yojna in this Palamu Division is quite impressive as against the targeted beneficiaries of 13,949 came 13,435 forms for this yojna out of which 5,501 forms were sanctioned for disbursement of money to the tune of rupees 2 crore thirty thousand among 4,181 girl children.
