CM unveils 45 Baleswar projects

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday laid foundation-stones for an array of projects besides inaugurating a rail over-bridge near Tamulia and Soro in the sideline of regional Biju Youth Conclave held here.

Addressing a gathering of over 40,000 youths of Baleswar, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur and Keonjhar, Patnaik said several developmental programmes are undertaken by the State Government for the growth of the State and the people.

Patnaik inaugurated 45 projects and laid foundation stone for 64 projects of Rs 6,245 crore. The major projects included Subarnarekha port, mega drinking water project at Nilgiri, fishing harbor at Chandipur, Idco Tower, Ring Road around Baleswar town etc. The chain of projects that were inaugurated includes two ROBs , one each at Baleswar and Soro, 5 grid structures (33 KV) ,  one each at Nilgiri, Baliapal , Simulia and Baliapal, Ananatapur-Soro-Kupari  road, High level bridge at Gurudaspur, Panchpada bridge, HL bridge over Chetai nala ( Rs 48.97 crore), among others.

Odisha Skill Development Authority Chairman Subroto Bagchi referred to multiple roles of the Biju Yuva Vahini (BYV). The BYV has become a role model in the country, he mentioned.

BYV chairman Arup Patnaik said 100 youths would be sent to Singapore on an exposure visit and in subsequent phases more youths would be sent.
