Chief Minister Kamal Nath has given instructions for conducting an immediate campaign to stop illegal business of narcotics from nitravet to opium besides other intoxicating substances and illegal sale of liquor.
After high level discussions with the Director General of Police, Kamal Nath said that action should also be taken against police officers on receiving report about illegal sale in their areas.
Besides, Kamal Nath mentioned that several families have fallen victims of narcotics. Several youth are ruining their lives by falling victims to narcotics. He said that illegal sale of narcotics and its consumption is also the reason for crimes including rape.
Nath said that sale of narcotics should be stopped near schools and colleges to save youth from this habit. Temples of education must be saved from this illegal activity. Narcotics and intoxicants are reason behind several heinous crimes. Chief Minister gave strict instructions that person involved in trade of narcotics should not be spared. A strict action should be taken against them so that they should remember it for years. Such persons have no place in the State. Stringent action will also be taken against people protecting them, he added.
Besides, Nath also gave instructions for strict action against gambling and satta dens besides goons linked with these kinds of activities. People involved in extortion and linked with illegal activity for pressurising people to vacate their houses should not be spared at all. Their illegal business and activities must be destroyed.
The Chief Ministers mentioned that we wish to make the State an island of peace. We wish to free the State from crimes. Big and influential person linked with the sale of illegal narcotics and intoxicating substances will not be spared, he added.
