The ‘Indian Women Network (IWN)’ chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII-IWN) organised a conference for the women entrepreneur of the Madhya Pradesh State on the theme ‘Women in Business: #Bringing change’ at Bhopal.
The conference focused on reinventing and revaluating vision & goals of women entrepreneurs in Madhya Pradesh by showcasing an Inaugural session and two plenary session on the theme’s “Identifying Future Opportunities # Changing Workplace Dynamics” & “Changing Perception # Creating Social Impact”
Amrita Rai, Managing Editor Swaraj Express TV & Hindkisan.com was the Keynote Speaker of the conclave and during her address, she emphasised upon the need of society to change for the larger benefit of society, “For country’s economy to progress further, whole society needs to encourage women entrepreneur across all spectrum of life”.
She also emphasised on the need of involvement of women in 3 “Ps” ie Politics, Police & Prashanshan (Administration).
Sufiyah Faruqi Wali IAS, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Seeds and Farm Development Corporation was the special guest of the conclave and stressed upon the need of changing society’s perception towards the business of working women.
She said the business of working women is perceived as their hobby and not their primary responsibility, which needs to change.
She also advised the private organisation to increase gender diversity across all verticals and department for a faster growth.
Underlining the benefit of women empowerment for larger society, Sonal Shrivastava, Chairwoman, CII Indian Women Network- Madhya Pradesh & Director- Netlink Software Pvt Ltd. Said, “Gone are the days when women were considered no match for all powerful men in this world, women are everywhere and changing the gender ratio and changing the social norms everywhere.”
Kalpana Unadkat, Chairperson, CII IWN – Western Region & Partner – Khaitan & Co made a presentation on the ‘Indian Women Network’ – the women chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry - providing an exclusive platform for career women and working towards enabling them to become better professionals and achievers in their respective fields through various need based services Other speakers included Sharmila H Amin, Managing Director- South Asia India, Bertling Logistics India Pvt Ltd, Bhakti Sharma, SArpanch, Barkhedi Abdullah Panchayat, Shraddha Joshi, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Madhya Pradesh Police & Ritu Saini.
Conclave received an overwhelming response by women entrepreneurs & career women from all over the state and nearby region.
