The three-day annual cultural fest of NIT Kurukshetra in the college premises ended on a subdued note on Saturday in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack.
In the evening, a stand-up comedy by Shashwat Maheshwari and the Battle of Bands, kept the audience entertained. The stand-up was organized by the English Literary and Debate Club. Held in a packed Jubilee Hall, Shashwat Maheshwari, with his quirks and mirths made sure that everyone had a good laugh. The Battle of Bands was held in the Open Air Theatre.
In the wake of attacks at Pulwama, the fest was subdued and the celebrations were put to a halt from the morning on Saturday. A moment of silence was observed by the NIT family in front of the old administrative building condemning the attacks and a subsequent candle march followed to pray for the departed souls.
In reverence to these heroes, the planned Star Night was cancelled reinstating the Institute’s belief that nothing is above the love for our nation.
The Valedictory Ceremony of the fest was conducted in the Jubilee Hall with cultural presentations, the award distribution ceremony, and the Confluence report.
