Cong to cash in Modi govt’s failures in LS polls

Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) will bank upon the failures of BJP government at the centre for winning maximum number of Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming general elections in Chhattisgarh.

It was decided during a review meeting of media coordination committee and Morcha-cell of the PCC, chaired by state Congress in-charge PL Punia at party’s state headquarters Rajeev Bhawan on Saturday.

“During the meeting it was decided that we will largely focus on failures of Modi government and will also highlight the major public welfare initiatives taken by our government in past two months in Chhattisgarh,” state Congress Spokesperson RP Singh informed.

Punia during the meeting reviewed plans for reaching out to public to highlight the alleged non-fulfilment of promises made by Modi government. He lauded the members of state media department for coming up with a promising plan for the upcoming general elections.

He asked the party members to seriously present the schemes of Congress government and the party before media. The party leaders also fixed guidelines for television media debates and statements to be given to the print media.

Punia also authorised Congress Spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla and RP Singh to updates information about party activities and government functioning to members of state media department before facing news channel debates.

The state-in-charge passed a slew of directives which include; formation of block committee for ensuring participation of youth congress members in all party programs across state, preparing roadmap for issues related to youths, ensuring participation of booth committees in party programs, appointments of block president, booth president, zone, sector in-charge, pacing up of Mahila Congress programs and adding at least 10 women with every booth.
