Congress Legislature Party Leader Narasingha Mishra and BJP Legislature Party Deputy Leader Bishnu Charan Sethi continued raising accusing fingers at each other’s party, without naming them, in the State Assembly on Saturday.
During the Zero Hour, referring to the Leader of Opposition (BJP) Pradipta Naik’s remark on Congress vis-à-vis utterances of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mataki Jay, Mishra said the Congress doesn’t hesitate uttering these two patriotic expressions. He too uttered the expressions in the House.
Mishra too raised the issue of an MP from Madhya Pradesh terming Mahatma Gandhi’s killer Nathuram Godse as a god and true patriot and demanded that the MP and others who do so should be reprimanded in the House.
In reaction, Sethi alleged that the issue of Godse should not be discussed and the time of the House is unnecessarily being killed. He gave some examples of Mahatma Gandhi meeting RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and praising activities of the Sangha. Similarly, he said former Prime Minister had invited RSS volunteers to conduct a parade on a Republic Day.
Besides, Sethi wanted to know why the chief of a party (Congress) asked former President Pranab Mukherjee not to address a gathering of RSS activists.
