The Congress would announce its candidates’ list for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections “anytime after March 16”, said Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik on Thursday.
He reiterated that priority would be given to women, youths and new faces in the party for the polls.
Reacting to the alleged bribe offering by Health Minister Pratap Jena to voters, Patnaik said that both BJP and BJD have money and these two parties would fight the elections by misusing government funds.
“The BJD and the BJP have enough money to spend in the elections. But the Congress will fight the polls with people’s support,” Patnaik said.
