The State Congress is planning to include the performance of the Centre along with that of the State Government in the chargesheet it is now preparing. The party was supposed to submit the chargesheet on the failure of the state government to the Governor Baby Rani Maurya on March 18, the day the Trivendra Singh Rawat had completed his two years in office as the chief minister.
The chairman of the charge-sheet committee and a former minister Navprabhat said that he would request the party leadership to include the poor performance of the Centre in the charge -sheet with the Lok Sabha election inching closer. He said that the draft of the charge -sheet is almost ready. Quizzed over the delay in the submission of the charge-sheet, the Congress leader said that the Pulwama attack had resulted in postponement of the meetings of the committee.
“After the announcement of the dates of the election, I feel that the party should also include the failure of the Centre along with the same of the state government in the party’s charge-sheet. It would then be comprehensive, presenting the whole dismal picture of the double-engine government,” he said.
While Navprabhat is the convener of the charge- sheet committee the former minister Tilak Raj Behed, MLA Manoj Rawat and senior leaders- Dhirendra Pratap and Rajeshwar Painyuli -are the members of the committee.
