A weeklong short-term course focusing on the potential of IoT (Internet of Things) based Power Electronic Interface for Green Energy System is being organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra starting from 20th May till 24th May 2019. The Inaugural Function for the same will be held on the 20th of May. The Chief Guest for the event will be Sudarshan Chakrabarti, the Executive Director and CEO of PVUNL. The inaugural ceremony will also be attended by Dr. Mahesh Chandra, Dean Students' Welfare, BIT Mesra, Dr. P.R Thakura, Head of Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, BIT Mesra and Chairman of this short-term course, and Dr. T. Ghosh, the convener for the course. The Inauguration is scheduled to begin at 9: 30 A.M. with the auspicious lighting of the lamp. Next up, there will be a speech by the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Dr. P.R Thakura. This will be followed with the speech of the DSW. The Chief Guest will then address the gathering. The Convener will next address the audience and delve into the specifications of the course. The vote of thanks will be finally delivered by Dr. Aftab Alam and the event will finally come to an end. A High Tea has been organised for the attendees of the event.
