The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has thanked people of Bonei for reelecting its candidate Laxman Munda and others who voted for its candidates in four other Assembly seats and the Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha candidate.
In a statement, CPI(M) State secretary Ali Kishore Patnaik too thanked workers of alliance parties and secular and democratic forces who worked in favour of the party’s candidates.
“Many challenges pertaining to secularism, constitutional institutions and constitutional rights of the people have emerged after poll results, which have given mandates to the BJD in the State and the BJP at the Centre. The CPI(M) urges people to make preparations to uphold communal harmony and face such challenges,” said Patnaik.
