As part of the ongoing Insurance Week programmes organised to commemorate 63rd anniversary of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India, a customer meet was held at the Divisional Office of Corporation here on Wednesday. In the programme, a large number of policy holders participated.
Addressing the event, the Senior Divisional Manager (SDM), PK Saxena, presented a brief account of the journey of the corporation from its inception till today. He also provided information about new schemes and policies, along with the customer services, provided by the corporation to the policy holders.
The HGA (Finance and Accounts), Jyotsna Batra gave a power-point presentation on the achievements of the corporation.
The Marketing Manager (MM), Mahesh Chandra Verma , spoke in length on the benefits of investing in LIC in the current financial environment where bank deposits are continuously being reduced. He added that LIC's ‘Jeevan Shanti ‘plan is becoming extremely popular as the scheme provides for a guaranteed pension (more pensions on higher income) to the insured.
