The CSR team of Dalmia Cement Bharat Limited (DCBL) in association with the Sangam Mahila Mandal, Rajgangpur organised a three-day training programme on adolescent girls’ life skill education at the Lanjiberna Shramik High School in Bihabandh recently.
Mandal president Sunita Gupta inaugurated the programme in presence of Kukuda Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Rila Sushila Toppo, DCBL senior GM (CSR) Dr Niladri Bhusan Parhi and school Headmaster Sarat Kumar Mohapatra aimed at training selected girl leaders who can further educate local adolescent girls on various critical life skill issues.
The CSR team is currently working on educating adolescent girls of the local communities on personal health and hygiene for a healthy life for which as many as 27 small groups of about 12 to 15 girls have been created for the purpose.
As many as 50 girls from these groups were trained under this programme by a NGO AAINA on leadership and communication, stress management, personal hygiene and sanitation, gender based violence, strengthening health, education, livelihood, and grievances redressal system.
