The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is constructing two bed room flats for the Middle Income Group (MIG) in Dwarka. A total of 312 flats are coming up in Dwarka Sector-19 and 46 flats in Dwarka sector 16.
The two bed room flats will be constructed in 8-10 storeys building in main part of Dwarka residential areas and will accommodate nearly 370 families.
The DDA officials however, did not tell the rates of the flats but said the flats in Dwarka Sector-16 will be completed by 4-5 months and will be ready for the public by mid 2020.
"These upcoming flats are part of master plan. The flats will be given on draw lots to the people coming under the Middle Income Group (MIG) category. Currently, these are under construction and are expected to complete by next year. If completed on time, these flats are expected to sell under the DDA's housing scheme. Further, the flats in Dwarka Sector-16 will take a year to complete," said a DDA official.
The flats will have all the basic facilities and keeping in mind the pollution situation in the city, DDA is also creating green areas and installing plants and saplings to reduce air pollution. Further, it will have facilities such as community space for the public especially elderly persons and park for children, parking facility, lawns, and CCTV cameras and barricading at the entry gate manned by the guard. These parks will also have facilities of open gym facility for the residents, said the officials.
