Deepali adds new dimension to J’suguda politics

Sunday, 17 November 2019 | RAJ KUMAR SHARMA | JHARSUGUDA

nThe Jharsuguda political scenario is taking a new shape with the appearance of a new personality. She is Deepali Das, daughter of Jharsuguda MLA and Health Minister Naba Kishore Das.

In all Government and private meetings, Deepali is now seen as the representative of Minister Das. On completion of higher studies from overseas, she is now stepping into local politics with all support from her father.

Over last few days, Deepali is seen very close to her father in different meetings and programmes in  Jharsuguda. Last Saturday, she addressed a seminar on homoeopathy in a hotel. On Monday also she was near her father in a high-level meeting held at the Circuit House here on health services in the district. Later in the day, she was in a paddy procurement meeting. When Minister Das left the meeting in the middle, he told to continue the meeting further with Deepali as his representative.

These days, Deepali is invited to various meetings as guest of honour in place of Minister Das.

Born in 1997, Deepali studied up to Standard-X in the Burla DAV Public School. Thereafter, she completed Standards-XI and XII from the Modi Institute, Rajasthan. On completion of B.Com from the KC College Mumbai, Deepali did her MBA in Communication & Public Relations from the EU Business School at Barcelona (Spain).

With municipal elections nearing, Deepali is expected to play a vital role in the district politics.
