Minister for Public Relations PC Sharma and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh attended a condolence meeting held at Piplani on Tuesday to pay homage to the victims of Khatlapura boat accident.
Earlier, Digvijay Singh and Sharma expressed condolences to the families of the deceased by visiting their residence.
Sharma told that the families of the deceased have been included in the Awas Yojana. On the instructions of Chief Minister Kamal Nath, immediate assistance of Rs 4 lakh was paid to each family of the deceased persons.
He said that the payment orders for the remaining amount of Rs 7 lakh were handed over to each family at the same time. According to the payment order, the assistance amount is being transferred to the bank accounts of the affected families at the earliest.
During the condolence meeting, the former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh said that the death of children in an accident is very sad.
He said that we are all with the families of the victims. Singh said that immediate approval of assistance amount of Rs 11 lakh to each family of the victims is an identification of the sensitivity of the Chief Minister Kamal Nath.
