To promote afforestation, the District Administration has been taking many steps. In this connection, collector Anurag Chaudhary held a meeting of the industrialists from the region and appealed them to contribute their might in this cause. He told the industrialists that the necessary land required for planting trees will be provided to them.
The collector told the group of industrialists that there is plenty of land in the region that has no or few trees in them. He asked them to use such lands for tree plantation and added that the shade of a tree is a welcome relief during extreme hot conditions. He also told them that the presence of trees not only provides shade from the sun rays but they also transpire and release water in the atmosphere through leave surfaces and bring down the temperature. The collector asked the industrialists to take care of the trees they have planted for at least six months.
