The State’s provisional Capital witnessed light showers on Thursday in some parts while light to moderate activity, including snowfall, was experienced in other parts of the State. According to the State Meteorological Centre director, Bikram Singh, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts experienced rainfall and a drop in temperature too.
According to Singh, in addition to rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh, there was snowfall in areas at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above. There was very light rainfall in other districts.
On Friday, Dehradun is forecast to experience clear skies with dry weather likely to prevail in other districts.
“Very light to light rainfall, snow, and thunderstorm is likely to occur at a few places in mountainous region on Friday. Other districts will see fair weather.” said Singh.
“The temperature will start getting back to normal from Friday and the weather will be fair thereafter,” he added.
