DPS Ranchi students once again excelled and made the school proud by winning Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in the International Mathematic Kangaroo Competition. Dhriti Barnawal (Class 8) is the State Topper and Kislaya (Class 8) is the District Topper in this prestigious International Competition. Overall, the students have bagged 12 Gold medals, 7 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.
State Topper Dhriti Barnawal would get a yearlong cash scholarship of Rs 1,000 per month and District Topper Kislaya would get a scholarship of Rs 500 Per Month for one year.
International Mathematical Kangaroo is an international mathematical competition where over 80 countries represent themselves.
There are twelve levels of participation, ranging from grade 1 to grade 12. The competition is held annually on the third Thursday of March. According to the organisers, the key competence tested by Mathematical Kangaroo is logical combination, not just pure knowledge of formulas.
Principal Ram Singh was elated with the exemplary achievement of the students. He congratulated and extended his best wishes, & encouraged the students to keep up the momentum going forward.
