Sunday, 22 September 2019 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

Traffic movement on a busy road in Bhubaneswar came to grinding halt for a while when two young girls in inebriated conditions created nuisance causing trouble for police in managing the situation.

However, the Lingaraj police later detained the girls, who reportedly hailed from West Bengal.

Sources said the girls were travelling by a car on the Kapileswar road and later parked the vehicle in the middle of the street. As commuters protested against the act of the girls, who were reportedly drunk, they created a ruckus on the road.

Getting information, the Lingaraj police rushed to the spot, detained the girls

and took them to custody for questioning.

The cops also seized liquor bottles and cigarette packets from their car.
