Jashpur district electoral officer and collector Nilesh Kshirsagar has suspended Kunkuri Revenue Inspector Arvind Kumar Sahu and issued notices to several others for failing to videograph a controversial speech of Congress candidate at a rally. Reports said that Congress candidate Laljeet Singh Rathia made a personal remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a public rally and the officials who were tasked to videograph the rally failed to adhere to their job.
The action was taken after the speech of the Congress candidate went viral on social media. Kshirsagar also issued show cause notice to Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM), Janpad Chief Executive Officer and Naib Tehsildhar for not conducting the videography of the rally.
