To maintain green environment in cities, the State Government would run electric buses in and between Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri cities soon. Science and Technology Minister Ashok Chandra Panda informed this in the State Assembly in response to a question of Independent MLA Makaranda Muduli and additional questions of other members on Saturday.
“The electric buses will run within 100-km radius covering Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri. An MoU is now in drafting condition and will be signed soon,” said the Minister.
The Minister also informed the House that solar panels are being set up in tribal schools and Government offices in a phased manner.
