Ex-Mr Uttrakhand held for forming gang; country made pistol seized

A 22 year-old, former ‘Mr Uttrakhand’ in a dance competition, who was planning to form a gang in National Capital, was arrested by Delhi Police on Sunday. Police have also recovered one country made pistol with two live cartridges from the possession of the accused.

The accused has been identified as Adnan alias Aadi who hails from Uttrakhand and was presently residing in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar area.  According to Anto Alphonse, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Dwarka district, on February 16, while patrolling in the area, one suspect was seen standing near A Block corner.

“On seeing the police patrolling team, suspect started stumbling and moving towards aisle following which he was apprehended by the team and cursory search one illegal country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered,” said the DCP.  “During interrogation, the accused disclosed that earlier to earn instant money, he committed a robbery about Rs 3.45 lakhs at Dominos Pizza Corner at Sector-12, Dwarka.
