Ex-SI cast vote after cremating son to mark democracy fest

While almost 39 per cent Delhiites remained indoors and did not go out to exercise their franchise on Sunday, there were many who reached to polling booths despite adversities to participate in the biggest festival of democracy to elect their representatives.

Inder Singh, a retired Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police along with his family members exercised their franchise in North-West Parliamentary Constituency immediately after cremating of his son Sunil Kumar (35) who died in hospital after he met with an accident.

Bharatiya Janata Party Lok Sabha candidate from North West constituency Hansraj Hans and Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta visited the family after the incident came in light to pay their condolences and share grief with them. 

On the one hand people avoid going out for vote due to hot summer but this family, despite such a tragedy happened went out to vote.
