nIn separate incidents, the Excise Department of Delhi Government raided RSVP Night club at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dwarka and other at NIV Art Culture in south Delhi's Neb Sarai area on Saturday night.
In the first incident, acting upon secret information that liquor is being served without valid license in RSVP club at Radisson Blue Hotel in Dwarka, a team of the Excise Department raided the club on the intervening night of August 17 and August 18.
ACP Alok Kumar Excise Intelligence Bureau (EIB) Delhi Government said, total 639 Bottles and Pints of Imported, Indian Made Foreign Liquor and Beer Pints were recovered from RSVP club. Further Beer pints with expiry dates were also recovered from the store of the RSVP, indicates that the organisers were even not bothered about of health issues of the customers.
There was no liquor license at the club while liquor was given to the decoy customer by the restaurant. Owner and the manager of the restaurant namely Manish Awasthi and Amit
Chauhan respectively were apprehended from the RSVP. Both the above accused persons have been handed over to local police along with the seized liquor. A case is being registered into the matter at Police Station Dwarka North, Kumar said.
While in another incident in Neb Sarai area of South Delhi, the sleuths of Excise departed following a tip off raided NIV Art centre where liquor was sold and served without valid licence.
Akshit Kathuria and Ankit Kathuria who were bar managers have been been apprehended and 356 beer bottles have been recovered including 188 Bottles Wilingter Crafted wheat ale beer and 168 Consumed bottles of Wilingter Crafted wheat ale beer.
Further during checking one under aged customer was also found at the restaurant who was being served liquor. In this regard, has been registered at PS Neb Sarai.
