Extremism on decline in Chhaterpur: Kishore’

Friday, 18 October 2019 | PNS | DALTONGANJ

A massive decline and acute slow down of extremism in Palamu district has its most visible impact on Chhaterpur Assembly constituency where there is a history of just one Maoist killing seven cops in a land mine blast in 2014.

BJP MLA of this constituency Radha Krishan Kishore appears to be most contented that people of this constituency must be feeling the difference of living free now, which was a risky affair in 2014 because of rampant extremism then. He took out a book on it vis a vis his spree of developmental activities. ‘Badalta Chhaterpur–Paton vidhan sabha chhetra’ a 60 page glossy book highlighting the works done by the BJP MLA of this constituency Radha Krishan Kishore for the period 2014 – 19 ( in the book it is written 2015 – 2019 ) was released by MP V D Ram, veteran BJP leader Amleshwar Dubey and a host of BJP leaders in here on Wednesday Kishore, who is known for doing things ‘first’, did this again today with an open challenge that he gave in his speech when he said,

“This book contains details of MLA quota fund spent on schemes in my constituency.  It has an account of every single penny spent from MLA quota. No MLA does this. But I have given in writing to my esteemed people to judge this for themselves.” Kishore said, “ In 2009 -14 this constituency was represented by Sudha Chowdhury.

She could not spend her 80 lakhs of MLA quota and when I became MLA in 2014 which was my 5th term I got spent this 80 lakhs for my constituency”.

The audience believed him. He said there was a drive of BJP membership in the state some months back and his constituencies have places where going in day 5 years back was life threatening but our men went as deep and dangerous location Burhee Bukka in this constituency  for enrolling members in our party fold and this could be possible because he worked too hard to bring in peace and freedom from extremism.

Kishore said police pickets at Khujree, Pathra, Koohkooh, Dagra and Chetma in this constituency contained, controlled and pushed the extremism to its last leg which made people of this constituency now ready to take leap forward. He spoke at length as to how he worked tirelessly to get extremism ‘near out’ in his constituency. What Smiriti Gupta a member of Palamu zila parishad said on mike in this function went a long way to prove right Kishore’s claim of extremism getting out from his constituency where she said “

My marriage was delayed because of Chhaterpur being then ridden with extremism as there was no road in my village ( name she did not give) but after Kishore taking reigns of Chhaterpur in 2014 things changed dramatically and now my husband does not feel any nervous or fear coming over to my parent’s house in Chhaterpur.”

Kishori Pandey said, “Extremism is down and running out. Now we can take our wooden cot beneath a tree and spend time there. It was just unthinkable 5 years back as then naxals would have lifted us with the cot.”

V D Ram in his speech too said a similar thing reminding going intothe interiors in this Chhaterpur Paton Assembly segment five years back as like inviting death but now the scene has changed.

The book has everything pictures of Narendra Modi, Raghubar Das, Arjun Munda and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and the big of all ‘ Apni Baat’ of Kishore on the very first page of this 60 page book with his green inked facsimile of his signature reminding readers of PM Modi’s ‘ Mann Ki Baat.
