Farmers' loan waiver festival begins

Farmers' Loan Waiver Festival begun on Saturday at the headquarters of each primary credit cooperative committees as per the      directive of the state             government.  The festival will continue till July 30.

The committees invited concerned village Panchayat Sarpanch, Panch, members of Director Board, all farmers having loan liabilities, public representatives and villagers.

The committees read out details of loan waiver scheme and also listed farmers who have procured fertilizers, seeds and taken loan in the current year.

The officials of agriculture, horticulture, fishing and animal husbandry briefed about the departmental schemes and advised on      different aspects of the        government schemes.

The events will be further organised at District Cooperative Central Bank branch headquarters from August 1 to 10 and from August 10 to 15 at district level Cooperative Central Bank. In-charge minister of the respective district will be chief guest at the district-level festival.

The officials were directed to make presentation on the state government’s flagship programme ‘Suraji Gaon Yojna’ (Narva, Garuva, Ghurva, Baari). Revenue department officials will also chip in to hold camps for change of name in land records and division of land as per hereditary. Plantation   programme has also been included in the festival.

Different districts have released the dates for hosting the festival in various village Panchayats of the state.
