Voting was delayed at several booths in the State due to technical glitches marked in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) during the second phase of polls held on Thursday.
While voters turned to booths and stood in queues with all eagerness to exercise franchaise in Sundargarh district, it was reported that EVMs were not functioning at booths at Talsara, Bonai, Kendudihi, Fakirmunda, Chhidakud, Usukujula and Khalasaghat.
The glitches in EVMs caused delay in voting at Booth No. 204 and 205 in Sagarpalli of Subarnapur district, Booth No. 113 and 101 in Phulbani, two booths in Buguda and Booth No.196 in Hinjili.
Similarly, the EVMs were found non-functional in Booth No. 65 and 68 in Balangir, Booth No. 158 in Aska and Booth No. 179 in G Udayagiri and Booth No 54 in Baliguda Mahasingh.
Voters boycotted polling in two booths of the Loisinga Assembly constituency alleging that the booths were located far from their villages.
