Senior divisional head (Central and West), Fino Payments Bank said Chhattisgarh has untapped potential to bring simple and convenient banking closer to people, through creating a strong network of neighbourhood shops as banking partners or merchant points.
At present there are 2063 banking partners in Chhattisgarh and target is to achieve 8000 partners. Soon, the bank’s regional office will be opened at Raipur as there are already branches in the state. These next door outlets offer services such as new bank account opening, deposit, withdrawal, money transfer, utility bill payment transactions. These outlets can be any provision store, mobile repair shop, beauty salon and stationery shop where a customer generally frequents, said Mishra.
The most important aspect is there is no need to visit a bank, and there is no banking hours and it is closer to the place of residence. Till the outlet remains open, banking can be done. One can withdraw amount as per the limit of bank or debit card holder, he pointed out.
Any person having passed class 10th examination can become partner. The bank will impart training on using the digital banking system, Mishra said.
