Fire Service Week begins at DVC

Fire wing of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Bokaro Thermal Power station, observed national fire service day on Sunday following the beginning of Fire Service Week.

Chief engineer, BTPS, Kamlesh Kumar started the fire service week at a function held at fire station of the main plant. He paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of safety.

Speaking on the occasion, Kumar appreciated CISF, particularly the fire wing, for their excellent service throughout the year at BTPS and its surrounding areas.

On the occasion, CE along with others CISF officials including Dy Cammandant Alok Kumar, Assistant Cammandant Ramesh Kumar, Inspector Prabhu Prasad, and A Karkatta released a fire prevention booklet and leaflet.

Dy commandant, CISF, Alok Kumar and other senior officials from BTPS and CISF also paid homage to the martyrs.

All the participants took oath on this occasion.

The theme for 2019 is, ‘Fireman – Your Partner for saving life and property’. CISF fire wing will organise first-aid fire-fighting lecture, essay competition, drill, demo, quiz, drawing, etc., for employees and their family members to spread awareness on fire hazards, fire prevention and fire safety.
