The Odisha Government requested foreign tour operators, those who participated in the Odisha travel Bazaar to prepare Odisha specific packages or atleast include Odisha in their India specific packages.
At the concluding day of Odisha travel Bazaar Tourism Joint Director Utpal Pati said, "We requested foreign tour operators to add Odisha in their packages. Normally, they are preparing 3 night 4 days packages for their customer. If Odisha gets any place in their packages then it will help Odisha tourism in a big way."
On the development of tourism infrastructure in the State, he said," A land bank is being prepared for the tourism and hospitality industry. We identified lands in Chilka, Gopalpur and Puri-Konark area."
Private player participants have shown more interest to set up eco cottage, water park and theme park in major tourist sites. Some playes are interested to go to Jaipur, Raigada and Sambalpur like places. Investors participated in Odisha Travel Bazaar have given more importance to royal palaces, eco cottages and other high quality facilities, he informed.
More than 85 tour operators participated in the event. Domestic tour operators are interested to know about the new products coming to Odisha and unexplored areas.
