Four looters held; gold, weapons seized in Ganjam

While a series of looting were reported in Ganjam district’s Hinjili area during the last few days, police managed to arrest four persons and seized six tolas of gold and a cache of weapons from them during raids at different places late on Monday night.

The looters were identified as K Kahna alias Chhota 2 of Palli Padmanabhpur village, T Jalandhar (19) of Kukudakhandi village, Raghunath Sahu (50) and Manoj Achari (30). Of the four, Sahu and Achari were arrested for purchasing theft materials from looters.

However, three other looters managed to flee from the area. They are K Siva of Palli Padmanavpur, S Kusha of Baiganbadi village and T Krushna of Kukudakhandi. They would be arrested soon, informed Hinjili PS IIC Abhimanyu Dash.
