Bokaro police busted a gang of criminals who used to sold bank accounts and other details of the local villagers to the cybercriminals. On tip-off, police arrested Dara Singh and Vishal Das under Chas police station last night, informed B Tuti SDPO Chas.
"Police on hunt to arrest other criminals, " added SDPO.
Following the complaint of Oriental Bank Manager Subash Kumar, we have started the investigation and both were arrested under Chas police station, he said.
During interrogation, both of them revealed that they were involved in opening bank accounts of their own as well as other villagers at different banks and later they used to sell those accounts to the Bokaro and Patna based cybercriminals.
Criminals were also admitted that, the cybercriminals used to pay them Rs 10,000 for each of the bank accounts, other details along with mobile SIM cards associated with those accounts, informed Tuti.
Recently they have opened bank accounts in ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank and Oriental Bank, he said.
" Police is conducting raids to arrest other criminals," added SDPO.
